The Calvinists announce FREE Show in The Workmans Club

FREE SHOW: Top act The Calvinists who onyl recently got a rave review from the New York Times no less are playing in The Workmans Club on Wednesday December 1st with support from Sian Brown and Aaron Dillon. Admission on the night is FREE OF CHARGE. This gig is very much about showcasing some great bands. Man Overboard Announce Dublin Date

Following on from the release of their debut album ‘Real Talk’ the New Jersey pop punk merchants Man Overboard have annoucned the details of a headline European tour which includes a whistlestop to Dublin on December 12th 2010. If pop punk is your thing, This could be a great gig to catch one of the few good pop punk acts around. They will be playing an all ages show in The Pint on Eden Quay with support from Transit. Doors at 1.30pm and Admission is €12.

David Celia for five Irish dates

Americana pop merchant David Celia will be playing a string of dates in Ireland this coming December. He will play Thursday 9th Dec in The Spirit Store, then 10th Dec in The Cobblestone, 11th Dec in Roisin Dubh, Galway, 12th Dec in Blue Haven, Kinsale and finally 13th December in Crane Lane Theatre, Cork. Kinsale and Cork are free entry, Galway is €5 and the others are yet to be decided.

The Maine announce Academy date

THE MAINE are all set to visit Dublin next year when they visit The Academy, Dublin on Friday 18th March with very special guest, Never Shout Never. Tickets for the show are priced at €16.50 and go on sale this Friday 26th November. Doors are early at 6pm, Over 14’s show so no alcohol served.

The Unruly Trinity release three track EP called ‘Ireland Is’

Mark Cullen (Pony Club), Simon Quigley (Composer) and Colm Keegan (All Ireland Spoken Word Slam Champion) have collaborated to create a three track EP entitled ‘Ireland Is….’  It’s an indie pop take on how they feel about Ireland now through musical arrangement and spoken word. The EP has just been released on Itunes and is available for €1.99 and a launch party with an intriguing line-up of music, spoken word and a surprise guest speaker will take place on November 30th.
