Following three dates at the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival at the end of October, NC Grey will return to her spiritual home, The Sugar Club, for a headline performance this November.

NC Grey says, “I’m so happy to be returning to The Sugar Club. I’ve played there with Roy Ayers a number of times and have always enjoyed it so much. To be headlining my favourite venue is just a dream come true for me.”

The British-Nigerian soul singer has impressed ‘the Godfather of Neo-Soul’ Roy Ayers so much that he has requested that she supports him every time he performs in Ireland.

The Dublin based soul singer has been picking praise for voice from the likes of the Huffington Post “NC Grey’s voice surges with the passion of Nina Simone, the exotic sumptuous savour of Sade, and the bravura projection of Adele. It’s evocative, rich and sensuous, truly sui generis.”

Her latest single Underwater is about how NC Grey unexpectedly lost vision in one eye and how she adapted to that life changing experience, likening it to “learning how to breath under water”.
