Norway’s Anna Lena Bruland AKA EERA may not be a household name but her debut album ‘Reflection Of Youth’ made quite an impression in musician circles piquing the interest of Mitski who is taking EERA on her European tour including her Dublin date at the Tivoli Theatre.

The record company always want new content to promote their acts hence the never-ending stream of questionable remixes that currently swamp Spotify, but rather than go down that route Burland decided to curate an EP of covers of her own material.

‘Friends’ out September 26th features covers from her debut album by ALASKALASKA, Douglas Dare, Farao and The Mantis Opera.

“I’ve always wanted to do a sort of collaboration with my friends, and I thought that this would be the perfect way to do it,” says Bruland.

“I’ve never been a fan of remixes, so I figured that a covers EP would be way more exciting! These guys are not only some of my best mates, they’re also incredibly talented musicians, so I feel very humbled that they agreed to do this.”

London six-piece ALASKALASKA’s take on I Wanna Dance is the first track to be released from the project. Lucinda John-Duarte and go give the track a dark synth twist

EERA supports Mitski in the Tivoli Theare on September 22nd. Tickets €22.00.
