Tonight’s show at The Olympia Theatre is exciting for many reasons. Firstly, it’s Saint Patrick’s Day so fans and bands alike are more enlivened and animated than usual, whether it be the sense of national pride, or the American and English band’s enthusiasm for their visit to Dublin on this day, there’s undoubtedly something different about it. Secondly, tonight showcases the young talent in the genre. Real Friends and then Neck Deep  both  show why they are very quickly making a name for themselves. The venue is packed before either of the support bands take to stage meaning American pop-punkers Real Friends arrive to an already lively crowd. On the band’s first visit to Ireland, they are greeted by a crowd that already shows knowledge of their music and although they note their shock at seeing young teenagers drinking so openly on the streets, there’s little doubt that they will be back soon enough.

Neck Deep are well on their way to being household names in the pop-punk/rock scene after collaborations with the likes of Issues and with alternative music magazines constantly posting about them – their set tonight shows exactly why that is. Both support acts tonight engage massively with the crowd and really put their personality into their sets – a trait that is certainly not unheard of when it comes to All Time Low.

This time last year, All Time Low played on the same stage for two nights, turning their appearance in Dublin on St Patrick’s Day into somewhat of a tradition. Even though they were here so recently – their set is completely different and includes new songs Something’s Gotta Give and Kids In The Dark. These songs have been out for a matter of weeks, in the case of KITD, literally a week and a day, and already the crowd is screaming the lyrics back to them. This just shows how much anticipation there is for their new material.

As well as newer songs, All Time Low of course include all the expected favourites and Alex Gaskarth takes to the stage mid-set on his own with an electric guitar to perform Therapy and Remembering Sunday. The show includes everything you’d expect from an All Time Low concert and more: immature jokes, a mild amount of nudity, and their crew taking to the stage to play a game of flip cup during Time Bomb whilst nine fans dance around the stage. The level of excitement and energy does not drop an inch and there’s never a dull moment.

The band have been together for so long and everything from their songs, to their stage shenanigans is so tight and it makes for one of the most enjoyable shows to watch, everything just flows effortlessly.

With the countdown to their upcoming album ‘Future Hearts’ well under way, All Time Low are ready to take on the future and if tonight is anything to go by, their fans couldn’t be more ready.
