It’s business as usual for Little Hours with the release of Heavy On You, the first single since Ryan McCloskey left the group.

Building slowly from an intro that resembles Heartbeats, Heavy On You opens with a sense of regret with the now solo John Doherty singing, “Was a tough call to cut you off I know it’s late to bring this up ‘Cause you can win and get your way. Without getting what you want.”

We spoke to Doherty about the new release, he said: “I produced the track with a guy called Fred Cox in London. I basically took a demo of the track over to him and we just re-tracked some parts. Lots of the original demo that I recorded at home in Donegal are in the finished track. I played all instruments but we tracked drums and percussion together.”

With over 60,000 streams on release day alone, Heavy On You has certainly hit the sweet spot for Little Hours fans.
