To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of Jeff Buckley’s seminal album ‘Grace’ his estate have released a never before seen live video for his classic track Lover You Shouldn’t Have Come Over. The footage comes from Buckley’s performance at the Middle East in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on February 19, 1994.

Grace is receiving the full expansion treatment for its 25th anniversary (today) with four live sets ‘Live At Wetlands, New York, NY 8/16/94’, ‘Live From Seattle, WA, May 7, 1995’, ‘Cabaret Metro, Chicago, IL, May 13, 1995’, and for the first time in its entirety, ‘Live at Columbia Records Radio Hour (a full-band show recorded June 4, 1995 at Sony Music Studios in New York City)’.

Most of the music on these live concert recordings is previously unreleased. However, the holy grail of the expansion is the official release of Sky Blue Skin from the Sketches For My Sweetheart The Drunk sessions.

A special tribute to Jeff Buckley takes place in Whelan’s tonight, 25 years to the day that he played the venue in 1994. The I Heart Band + special guest will play ‘Grace’ in its entirety plus selected songs from ‘Sketches For My Sweetheart The Drunk’ and other tracks from the Buckley canon.
