On this week’s round-up of the best new Irish music Galway’s Holly Macve shares her new album ‘Not The Girl’ and Scattered Ashes share their debut EP ‘Parallel Lines’.

Cover star Carrie Baxter drops an absolute solid gold summer banger ‘I Wasn’t Looking for You’, All Tvvins make a surprise return with ‘Something Special’ from what the lads are describing as the third phase of the band – we take it that’s a fancy way of saying there’s a new album on the way.

There’s a notable debut from new outfit Papa Romeo – featuring Rob de Boer and Chris Wong – with ‘Yellow Magic Orchestra’, Whozyerman? of O Emperor fame shares ‘All The Time To Kill’ his first new music since debut EP ‘EP 1’, while Enda Gallery continues to feel comfortable in his own skin and own name with the release of  ‘I Want Liberation’.

Sky Atlas impress with their slow burning second single ‘Stone’, while Norwegian based Daragh (Wearan) delivers his fifth single ‘Those Who’ve Gone’ – Ireland will cop on to his talent eventually. Rowan deliver the title-track from their second EP ‘Everybody Talks’ the first sample of the cork trio’s talent since signing for a US label.

As ever singer songwriters are never in short supply in Ireland and and the latest tracks from Four Nights, Orian, Jordan Run and Gerald Ahern should scratch that itch for you. While Northern Ireland’s Reevah returns with her first release of 2021 ‘Daydreamer’.

There’s no shortage of instrumental concoctions either with electro and ambient tracks from the likes of Ejeca, Arvo Party and Chósta and live cuts from BK Pepper and God Is An Astronaut.

All this plus new tunes from Sean X, T. Cole, Picture This, 1000 Beasts, True Tides, J. Smith, Julia-Maria, Bambie Thug, Bicurious, Sister Odd, Imlé & Riona Sally Hartman, Clare Sands & Steve Cooney and more besides.
