Featuring high profile collaborations with rock legends such as Noel Gallagher and Jeff Beck, Imelda May’s ’11 Past The Hour’ has debuted at number one on the Irish charts – the first album by an Irish female solo artist to do so since Lisa Hannigan’s ‘At Swim’ was released in August 2016.

The album is Imelda’s fourth number one, following up a string of releases which began with 2009’s ‘Love Tattoo’ – it’s also the first album by an Irish act to reach the nation’s top spot so far in 2021.

Watch Imelda react to the news below:

“For every woman in this music industry who’s told she has a sell by date I’m proof we just get better and better. We’re feckin’ Mnásome,” said Imelda upon learning of the number one.

Imelda will be taking ’11 Past The Hour’ on the road next year with a national tour.
