Gig of the Week : Greenday @ Marlay Park

This week is was hard to decide what to do for gig of the week, The Legend that is Stevie Wonder plays The O2, Pearl Jam also hit The O2, Blondie will hit Vicar street, Keane play in The Olympia, Don Baker plays the Civic Theatre, The Beach Boys play The National Concert Hall. It’s a veritable who’s who in music this week which we like to see. We reckon however that the evening out in Marlay Park to see Greenday, Paramore, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts is going to be one cracking gig.

The gigs this week had to be strong. 160,000 people decend on Glastonbury so any and all gigs around at the moment needs to give people a reason to not go to that. Aside from the top acts coming to town, Charlie Winston is hotly tipped to go global soon, The Middle East are awesome and CODES are playing The Academy 2 with surprise voted support.

Its all pretty open, some great gigs to console your non glastonbury going self with. Get in there now and make this week awesome
