After the success of our eighth #GoldenBeck gig last month (see photos here), we are back to bring you the seventh in our series of ‘GoldenPlec & Claire Beck Presents…’ gig nights in the The Workmans Club, Dublin.
Gavin Glass is in the process of recording his upcoming album ‘Sunday Songs’, so we count ourselves lucky to have nabbed him for our #GoldenBeck gig. If you’ve caught his superb show on TXFM (The Pick-Up with Gavin Glass – Tuesday 10pm-12am), you’ll no doubt have been impressed by the sheer depth of music knowledge this man possess. A pianist, guitarist and all-round stringed instrument aficionado, Gavin will keep you captivated from the moment he takes to the stage.
Hidden Highways is the collaborative name for Tim V. Smyth and Carol Anne McGowan. They soar through haunting Americana fused with emotive folk sensibility. We spoke of “…the sense of harmony that exists between the pair … an effortless intermingling of tones.” when we reviewed their debut album ‘Old Hearts Reborn’ – but to witness the synthesis of their vocal harmonies in a live setting is breathtaking.
We’ve long been promoting Irish music and every great thing about it. So it’s about time we got together some of the amazing Irish talent and put on some seriously good music nights. We have some amazing nights lined up over the next few months so stay tuned and enjoy ‘GoldenPlec & Claire Beck Presents’.
Remember: Plec yourself before you Beck yourself. #GoldenBeck
