Now in its third year, Flotations a series of contemporary and ambient performances is set to return to the National Concert Hall from April to September with appearances from experimental composers from across the globe.
Cork’s Elaine Howley opens the series which will also feature an appearance from he Godfather of Irish Electronica, Roger Doyle. Sonic Youth’s Jim O’Rourke will join Drive My Car soundtrack composer Eiko Ishibashi, while India’s Arushi Jain and Guatemala’s Mabe Fratti will make their Irish live debut.
Other highlights of the series include Japanese Songwriter & Composer Ichiko Aoba who will be performing works from her opus Windswept Adan and Detroit sonic pioneer Laurel Halo.
