Top of the Hops at Doolin Craft Beer & Roots Festival

Ireland’s top craft beer breweries and bluegrass and roots musicians will participate in the 2015 Doolin Craft Beer & Roots Festival, details of which were announced today.

The largest event of its kind outside of Dublin will be hosted on the grounds of Hotel Doolin in County Clare from 21st to 23rd August.

Featuring pub music sessions and stalls hosting food produce from throughout the Burren region, the Doolin Craft Beer & Roots Festival is aimed promoting awareness of new and established independent Irish breweries.

Breweries showcasing products at the festival include Dungarvan Brewing, Carlow Bre! wing Company, Dingle Brewing Company, Independent Brewing, Eight Degrees, Galway Hooker, Trouble Brewing, Franciscan Well, Metalman, Radikale and White Hag. Dooliner Beer, an Irish Red Ale that master brewer Cuilan Loughnane has brewed for Fitzpatrick’s Bar at Hotel Doolin will also feature.

Bands lined up to perform during the weekend include Luan Parle & Clive Barnes, The Young Folk, Gavin Glass & The Holy Shakers, John Blek & The Rats, NC Lawlor, Anna Mitchell Band, Mongrel State, Prairie Dawgs, Oldtown Rounders, Hickory Wind, Bad Moon, The Molly Hicks, JigJam and Randolf & The Crokers.

“The event will highlight the best of Irish Craft Beers, featuring dozens different beers from the best micro-breweries in Ireland. It is a great fit for Doolin as the village is nationally and internationally renowned for its famous pubs and music,” said Donal Minihane of Hotel Doolin.

“This year we are delighted to expand the festival offering by i! ntroducing a strong musical element to the programme. Over the! three-days, festivalgoers will be able to sample some of the best craft beers that Ireland has to offer while at the same team enjoy music from a range of is roots-based artists who will be providing Americana and Bluegrass influenced entertainment,” added Mr. Minihane.
