Conor: "Yeah, it was the first festival I played, and I was absolutely terrified, but now it's our favourite festival. Purely because my first gigs in town were in Sweeney's and I got to know all the organisers through that and then they were the first people to put us on at a festival".
Conor: "It's amazing how KnockanStockan has gotten bigger and better with more bands and bigger stages but still retained that, you know .... (Katie: "Community vibe.") .... Exactly! Community vibe, just hanging out with musicians and friends."
Katie: "And there's no divide between the musicians and the punters. There's no artists's camping area, or there used to not be."
Katie: "The size of it is perfect, it's big enough that you can get lost and explore and have a bit of craic, but you'll also always see people you know."
Conor: "It's amazing being at a festival where you're mates with the main organisers, and that's just ridiculous, like you hand in your gear at the shed and you're talking to G-star and you know everything is in good hands."
Katie: "That's a big thing as a musician, just knowing that your instrument is safe. I know that sounds weird as one of the best things, but it definitely is. "
Katie: "It's such a stress going to festivals, most festivals will have lockups but theirs is run like clockwork! The minute you drop it in you're like 'don't have to even think about it."
Conor: "I mean, that's not very rock and roll." Katie: "Yeah, I know, we should be smashing our instruments!"
Conor: [to Katie] "You're playing with Laura Ann Brady" ...? Katie: "Yeah." .... Conor: "So I'm really looking forward to seeing you guys play."
"Overhead the Albatross?, Bitch Falcon?, Red Enemy, The Eskies, New Secret Weapon... Pretty Beast!"
Conor: "Oh, is Gavin Glass playing? What a lineup."
Katie: "What are we looking forward to? Gettin' locked - Oh, it's my birthday! It's my birthday on the Friday. I have to get 26 kisses at KnockanStockan, that's the plan."
Conor: "'26 Kisses at KnockanStockan' - that sounds like a song!"
