A new music showcase festival is coming to Dublin in May.

Eastbound aims to present the best of up-and-coming music talent from around the world. The festival ran by Aiken Promotions has announced 14 acts with more to follow in the coming weeks.

Eastbound will take place in 5 city centre venues from May 7-12th. Tickets €13.50 for each event go on sale on Wednesday February 6th at 9am via usual outlets.

Although many of the acts may be unknown quantities to Irish music fans many are exploding in other territories.

Irish acts included in the line-up so far are Limerick’s whenyoung and Belfast’s Hunkpapa. We are delighted to see #plecpicks2019 act whenyoung included in the initial line-up for Eastbound. Checkout their Plec Picks feature interview here.

We are also delighted to see GoldenPlec favourites Boy Azooga returning to Ireland. Check out our interview with lead singer Davey Newington here.

New bands we are very much looking forwards to seeing at Eastbound for the first time include Men I Trust, Gwenno and Body Type.
