We’re hurtling towards December and that means judges for the Choice Music Prize Irish Album of the Year 2015 are hard at work listening to as much Irish music as humanly possible to make the most informed top 10 list of Irish albums for the shortlist.

That shortlist will be announced on January 6th 2016 with the winning album being announced after deep deliberation by the judges at the Choice Music Prize live event held in Vicar Street on Thursday 3rd March 2016. The live event will be broadcast live on Today FM in a special four hour extended programme during the Paul McLoone show.

The winning act will receive €10,000, a prize fund which has been provided by The Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA). All of the shortlisted acts will receive a specially commissioned award.
