An Garda Síochana and MCD have released an update regarding Guns N’ Roses Slane Castle concert security on Saturday the 27th May 2017.

Over 400 Gardai and 1200 security officers will be working at the event to make sure the event goes off without a hitch.

“At last Thursday’s (18th May 2017) media conference held by An Garda Síochána & Promoters MCD outlining the extensive arrangements in place regarding Safety, Security and the Traffic Management Plan for Saturday’s concert, the following policing, security and medical personnel have been confirmed.

An Garda Síochána will have over 400 members on duty, including specialist units, who will be supported by an additional 1,200 Security/Stewards provided by licensed security companies together with a full complement of doctors and medical teams, including an on-site hospital along with five first aid posts.”

MCD and An Garda Síochána also want to assure gig-goers that the Event Control Management Team overseeing this event have over 25 years experience within their fields of expertise.
