Were quite pleased to see two of our favourite things rolled into one giant effort with the announcement that 2Wheels “Tour De Picnic” has been organised in conjunction with Electric Picnic to raise money for one of our favourite charities, Temple Street Childrens Hospital.

Only long term GP readers will remember the charity gigs we ran for them back in 2004 (i know how long ago does that feel now) when we raised €1,600 for them. Now you can do your bit for charity and go along to Electric Picnic for free aswell.

Here’s the details, 2Wheels is a 90km cycle ride leaving dublin at 10am on the morning of Friday 3rd Sepetember with experts from 2Wheels cycles travelling with the group to lead and protect the route and solve and bike issues.

You will arrive in Stradbally before any music starts, you will get a FREE ticket, You will be quite ECO-friendly cycling to a festival and you help a good charity. Your bags and tents get transported for you, saving you another hassle. Simple and Secure bicycle parking will be there awaiting your arrival to protect your bike while you enjoy the gig.

To join up, you must reach a target of €500 via fundraising, so log on to www.electricpicnic.ie, Register for 2Wheels “Tour de Picnic” and start fundraising, once you reach €500 you get your FREE ticket and Cycling Itinerary.
