What the hell is a Prosperous Market I hear you clicking… Well you don’t know because this is the first ever Prosperous Market. It is a live music event with an all-day market, which will be headlined by Fence Collective / Domino Records man James Yorkston, celebrating his new album ‘I Was A Car From A Book’.
The live music will be staggered throughout the day in the different corners of The Workmans club venue and confirmed to also play on the day are Lisa O’Neill, Seamus Fogarty and Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, with more to be announced. The market will feature hot food, sandwiches and cake stalls and numerous stalls featuring books, zines, comics, vinyl, toys and crafts. Also mentioned at story-telling and complimentary whiskey tasting sessions in the adjoining Bison Bar.
So when is the first Prosperous Market? It will be on Saturday 8th December in The Workman’s, the market kicking off at 2pm and live music starting from 3pm. Tickets are on sale now priced at €15 inclusive of booking fee.
