The Crayon Set set to release debut single

The Crayon Set set to release debut single The Crayon Set 300x146Dublin-based band The Crayon Set are gearing up to release their debut single I Wanted You on September 22nd, with a swanky launch in Whelans that evening. It’s free in so head along if you get the chance. The cracking single will be available from their website as a free download for a limited time only. Their debut album is scheduled for release later this year.

If you haven’t encountered the band yet, they were founded by main songwriter Robert Baker in 2008 and have since morphed into an exciting, expansive 8-piece music collective. They have a fresh sound which they describe as “indie-folk-pop” – there’s catchy pop melodies, lots of energy, lush, multi-part vocal harmonies and they employ a wide variety of instruments – trumpets, double bass, violins, harmoniums, oboes, flutes, banjos, etc. What a talented bunch.
