If it’s good enough for Beyoncé and Bowie, well dang it if it ain’t good enough for Skrillex too. Following a cryptic announcement made through the medium of downloadable app last week, the EDM songwriter dropped the hint that a surprise new album was on the way.
Now, less than a week later, said surprise album is here, and we just happen happen to have the exclusive Irish stream.
‘Recess’ was conceived and recorded in Los Angeles, Seattle, Seoul, London, Stockholm, San Francisco & Brooklyn with guests including Ragga Twins, Chance The Rapper, Diplo, Passion Pit vocalist Michael Angelakos, OWSLA stars Kill The Noise, Alvin Risk and up-comers Milo & Otis. It also marks Skrillex’s long play début after a series of reputation carving EPs.
