Shadowplay become The Rain

Former GoldenPlec spotlight act Shadowplay have undergone a name change, and will henceforth be known as The Rain.

“The new name was a long time coming,” the band explain. “While writing the album we felt that our style was changing, not just musically but also in an image sense and our live performances too. A new name was necessary to reflect all these things, and it’s always nice to get a new start.”

The Rain have a special performance coming up this Thursday (July 10) in Andrew’s Lane.

The boys will be the featured special guests in a line up of up and coming Irish bands (including Stone Trigger, The Other Breed, Finnian  and Cavaliers). The gig is part of Garageland Ireland’s “The Garage” series of gigs, and will be broadcast in America.
