Here’s some photo’s by Alessio Michelini from the gig with KELE from Bloc Party when he played a sold out gig in The Academy, Dublin on May 16th. We didnt send a reviewer along so we only have the photographs for you this time around but sure no harm in a few photo’s of what we heard was a cracking gig but burdened by too many new songs.

It definitely was not burdened by too many new songs. They are all new!!!! The fact he even bothered to rework Bloc Party songs and play them was a nod to his fans.
The gig was great apart from the super cool hipsters who didnt bother to even nod their heads to a great set. They were on the right and the people who were there to listen and enjoy were on the left. Fair play to them for giving the band a chance. Maybe whoever you were talking to was expecting a Bloc Party covers band?
Fair points, i dunno he possibly was expecting a Bloc Party cover band and your right a lot of his material is brand new so its hard to say that’s not what should have been expected.
shame the cool hipsters couldnt get into it more. gigs are always better if everyone gets into it
