The lineup continues to grow and get better and better as it does. Im guessing that with Glastonbury in its 40th year and so many people trying to get over to that, MCD have made the Oxegen 2010 lineup as good as possible to try entice people to stay in Ireland this summer for their festival needs.

Joining the Lineup in this installment includes three top Irish acts, BELL X1 who played Electric Picnic on the main stage last year to an absolutely rapturous responce, Republic of Loose who have for a long time been one of the most played acts on Irish radio and have a strong following for their live shows. Meteor award winning band The Coronas are also going to be playing this year.

Doves return to Oxegen for back to back years after a hugely success best of collection The Places Between. Editors have established a large following quite quickly and will be joining the lineup , Scouting for Girls are back after a years absence. Ocean Colour Scene have been in and out of Ireland for various gigs but havnt been at Oxegen in a while so are a welcome addition to the lineup. If i remember correctly 2004 was their last Oxegen appearance.

Kate Nash was only here in the Academy recently and clearly was here on business to sign up to play Oxegen, No surprise that after her jam packed gig in Dublin that she would be hot property for the festival season. Echo and the Bunnymen are back and touring their 2009 release The Fountain and despite gigging now over three decades they are stronger than ever.  Joshua Radin has grown to prominance in the US and recently played The Academy and is sure to be another popular addition.  The Middle East were one of the stand ut acts at SXSW this year and are a great addition to the lineup for those looking for the next big act. The Courteeners also now will join the lineup

Finally and one of my favourite acts right now is hard rocking Australians who are severely in the AC/DC mould and are up there with The Answer as my tip for the next big rock act. The heir to AC/DC’s throne if you will, Airbourne are the final addition in this round of additions. An Excellent addition and one who i definitely think will have a glowing report in reviews coming out of punchestown this year.
