No Slane in 2010

No Slane in 2010 slane 150x150Slane 2010 is CANCELLED after lord henry mountcharles today revealed that they were unable to to get any headliners for the event this year.

He said he was sorry if it disappointed people, that it was a tough call but it was better than throwing together a half baked event just to hold the event.

He also said the campaigns on facebook for Kings of Leon and AC/DC had caught his eye and that he would try have both play slane in future years.

Next year is slanes 30th birthday and Lord Henry’s 60th so he’s hoping that 2011 will be a big year with the a return to slane and some top acts.

    No Roses, No DC, No Bizkit, No Libertines, No KOL

    Utterly dissappointing. They still have plenty of time to book the bands. Just proceed as normal and book them 1 by 1, surely with the DC on tour, GnR on tour it was a matter or booking a date with them. And ensure slane was there ready for them when they arrive.

    So disappointing…. was really looking forward to another good day at Slane…Sounds like bad management to me.. Loads of top artists would be honoured to play at Slane. Such a let down. If i was in charge id have the acts booked well in advance. After all it only happens once a year!!

    Yeah… plenty of huge acts playing festivals over in England, can’t see how it was too hard to get one of them over to Slane… strange.
