Rocky Votolato formerly of punk band Waxwing has announced that he is playing upstairs in whelans October 5th. Tickets cost €15 and are on sale now and available from ticketmaster and the usual sources.

Votolata started with waxwing in 1996 but soon found his writing moving to new areas which did not suit waxwing. He decided to try his new music outside of waxwing and began down the songwriter road.

In 2001 he released Burning My Travels Clean to kick off his solo discography and last year he returned with his 5th solo album, The Bragg and Cuss, The Success of his 4th album Makers allowed him to turn to music playing and touring full time.

The Bragg and Cuss has been described as more adventurous and full than the basic acoustic sounds of previous albums and has been recieved well among the music industry.
