Pavement Reform! [Updated]

US Indie Rockers Pavement have confirmed that they are reforming. Their first comeback gig will be at Rumeys Playfield in New York’s Central Park, Sept 21 2010.

Former Members Mark Ibold, Scott Kannberg, Stephen Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich and Steve West are all one board and the gig will be their first as a band in over 10 years

The Band have confirmed they will be playing other dates but that it isn’t quite a full-on reformation so it looks like new material is a no no for now.

Update: Looks as if the band are looking at maybe doing some festival dates. Scott Kannberg confirmed in a Rolling Stone interview that the band are looking at maybe doing Coachella and a few more festivals, so we might see them on the European Tour circut in 2011.
