Band of the Week : THE CADES

It’s time for a new feature in Goldenplec Towers. Resident music nerd and weekly gig attender CraigMcD is going to look at some of Irelands finest up and coming bands.
This weeks band hail from Tallaght and are called ‘The Cades’. They have only been a band for 2 years and yet have already played Hard Working Class Heros, the IMRO Tent at last years Oxegen and have shared the stage with notable bands such as Republic of Loose and The Enemy.
This has given the band a visble aura of confidence. The frontman, Brian Ashe displays cockiness of Liam Gallagher proportions on stage and why not? The band are a crowd pleaser with their catchy songs ensuring you’ll be humming them all the way home.
The Cades are heading into the studio to record their first EP on the 19th of February. The cover of the EP is going to contain the names of fans who paid €10 to the band, a quite clever idea I must admit. Refreshingly, The Cades’ bebo also has 9 original songs on it to listen to for free. My personal favourites are Change Your Ways, Kinky Milinki and We All Run Our Of Air.
If you want to check them out live before they head into the studio, they are playing Captain America’s Tallaght on the 13th Febuary.
