Band Of The Week : Blue Syndrome

This weeks Goldenplec Band Of The Week are Goldenplec favourites Blue Syndrome. Hailing from Swords, this 4 piece band are about to release their first album. After coming second in the Blastbeat competition in 2007,  Blast Records decided to give them a record deal as well. Almost a full 2 years later and the release date has yet to be announced, although all songs have been recorded.

Their first single off the album, entitled ‘Kiss the Girl’, will be released digitally on April 3rd. Before then, they are playing in the Academy for MCDSounds launch night on the  26th February.

After listening to the 7-minute album sampler on Myspace it’s hard to see how this band aren’t going to be big. Lead singer Colm’s powerful voice accompanied by catchy guitar riffs and brilliant drums is a successful mix. Tomorrow I’ll Be Gone (already released as a single a few months ago) is an instant highlight of the sampler.

Having recently parted ways with their old bass player, Blue Syndrome have quickly replaced him and are hoping to tour soon to promote the single and album.
