It’s that time of year again folks…

The time of year when we all party, stuff our faces and undertake epic battles with wrapping paper. But it is a sad reality that while most of us look forward to this time of year, for far too many it’s the lowest and hardest point of their year. This is particularly true for the homeless and destitute on our streets. And so, if we can do a little something to in someway alleviate someone’s suffering and make things a little more bearable, we’ll do it right? But hell, if we can do that AND have a good time at once it’s orders of magnitude better right? Well, in that spirit…Behold!

What? Back to the 80s – The recession session: Come join with us & pay homage to the decade of extremes. Dance the night away to the coolest & cheesiest 80s hits, plus a LIVE BAND playing the best of 80s kitsch. But that’s not all! With prizes for the best dressed 80s dudes & dudettes, plus FREE ENTRY into Shags & much more, this will be a simply awesome night.

When? Sunday, December 28th 2008 – That’s Sunday week, Keep it free! Doors 7:30, Band 8:30, Nightclub 11:30.

Where? The Pierhouse Hotel (Shags nightclub), Harbour road, Skerries.

Why? Why the hell not? It’s for charity! ALL proceeds raised are going to FOCUS Ireland. So you can boogie the night away with a clean conscience.

Please come & show your support, tickets a mere €15 & include nightclub entry. Contact me for tickets, and spread the word. There may even be some 80′s themed surprises on the night, but we’d hate to spoil the surprises! Tickets will be available on the door and at the Pierhouse itself, but it’s even better if you get them off us before hand, to avoid disappointment and make things easier!
