MS MR in The Academy | Gig of the Week

Having played a phenomenal set at Electric Picnic this year, new York duo MS MR return to these shores for a headline date on Saturday night in The Academy. The Indie pop rockers are the perfect soundtrack to get your Saturday night off to a flying start, so it’s this weeks Gig of the Week. Tickets are still available and are €14.50.

If you didn’t get your fill of Icelandic rock with Sigur Ros last week, you’re in luck as tonight Mum play The Button Factory. Tickets are still available and are €17.50. After what sounded like a fantastic performance from the legendary Pixies last night, they are back in The Olympia Theatre for round two this evening. Tickets for that are sold out but keep an eye out as some production seats were released late yesterday afternoon.

On Wednesday the annual Cheerios Childline Concert will cater for all your pop needs as they have The Wanted, Shane Filan, Union J & Little Mix to name but a few and hosted by Nicky Byrne. Limited tickets are available and start at €39.50.

Or if pop isn’t you’re thing and you’re  down in the south east, The Minutes play Cyprus Avenue on Wednesday. Tickets are still available and are a very reasonable €8.30.

Having previously played The Olympia Theatre earlier this year, on Thursday The Lumineers make a huge leap to The O2. Tickets are still available and are €34.50. Homegrown heroes Kodaline start the first of three nights in The Olympia Theatre on Thursday. Tickets for those are sold out but you can catch them in The O2 early next year.

The Mighty Stef play the second of a trio of gigs in Upstairs at Whelan’s on Thursday. Tickets are still available and are €9.75.

Picturehouse are back and they play The Village on Friday. Tickets are still available and are €20.90.
