The Meteor Choice Music Prize 2013 shortlist has just been announced!
The Meteor Choice Music Prize recognises the best album released by an Irish artist during the previous year. So any album in 2013 was eligible for consideration and each of the 10 media judges will have submitted their personal top 10 which gets combined to give the final 10 shortlist. They follow in the footsteps of Delorentos, who took home the prize for 2012 Album Of The Year for ‘Little Sparks’.
The Meteor Choice Music Prize Live Event will take place on Thursday February 27th in Vicar Street Dublin. Tickets go on sale Friday 10th January at 9am and will cost €23.50 inclusive of booking fee. It sells out every year, so get on it. The winner will pick up a cheque of €10,000 as with every year. The Song Of The Year award shortlist will be out shortly. Paul McCloone will host once again.
