Meteor Awards Results

Well the Meteors were last night with the cream of Irish Musical Talent nominated for awards to recognise their work.

Best National DJ went to Ray Foley for the Second year running, Ray……Love the show

Best Irish Band went to the script as tends to happen with pop bands from ireland, More to do with their chart success than actually being the best band. Im sure if they wrote their own songs and played their own instruments they would be more owing to the title of Best Band but alas its the meteors we digress…

Best Irish Male went to Mick Flannery, and Best female went to Imelda May, acceptable outcome there in my own opinion, Best irish pop act went to westlife (for what exactly im unsure, clearly The Script should have won this and someone like Fight Like Apes won the band one)

2FM’s hope for the future is wallis bird, thats at least a fare shout for them, the rest of the awards are formalities.
