Longitude 2013 Site EntranceThis weekend see’s the inception of the latest festival on the Irish music scene… Longitude 2013.

We’ve got a cracking lineup, a quality ticket price, four stages and all the festival fun you can fit into Marlay Park. Kids corner will have workshops and fun and games like giant jenga and more and sits right beside the main stage for families looking to entertain the kids but catch some main stage acts.

The sound desk and broadcasting platform will also house Kraftwerk’s 3D equipment which will be projecting onto the main stage. Don’t worry, 3D glasses will be provided around the stage and as people enter to make sure everyone can enjoy the full Kraftwerk 3D experience.

Phantom FM are down to provide interviews, live music and some quality DJs throughout the weekend so be sure to pop over to the Phantom Green. Check the gallery of images below and you’ll see some cubes stacked up. That’s the Heineken Live Project Stage and will have intense visuals to support their lineup. The Red Bull Live Academy is down and have a cool forest setup with speakers in the tree’s. Definitely a cool place to drop into.

This is the first year of the event with 10,000 capacity and tickets are almost gone for Saturday and Sunday with a few Friday tickets still left to shift but come this time tomorrow they could all disappear so if you’re planning on attending don’t hang around. Tickets are €54.50 for a day pass and €149.50 for the weekend pass.

Curfew will be 11pm and there is an aftershow held by The Red Bull Music Academy keeping the fun and festival vibes going late into the night on Friday and Saturday with two official Longitude after parties at The Academy Green Room!

Friday night will see Foals on the DJ desks while on Saturday Vampire Weekends Baio will be dropping some tracks. It’s €5 in with a Longitude ticket/wristband or €10 without.
