Jesus Christ Superstar musical coming to The O2

The musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ is to embark on it’s first ever arena tour and has an all star cast to join it. Award winning musical comedian Tim Minchin will play Judas, Melanie C will take the only female lead role as Mary Magdalene and Chris Moyles will play King Herod. I hate to judge books by covers, but all three seem aptly suited towards their roles.

There will be a ITV primetime show ‘Superstar’ which will give the public a chance to cast Jesus. The show will come to Belfast and then Dublin in October. First it’s the Odyssey Arena on October 9th and then Dublin in The O2 on October 12th.

Tickets for the show go on sale May 24th at 9am. Tickets for the show will cost €39.05 – €86.00 in Dublin and should be around £27 – £80 up in Belfast once those ticket prices are confirmed.

A digitally remastered album of the musical will be released on July 16th.
