The Jack of Diamonds Rhythm & Roots Festival is our Gig of the Week. Taking over Dublin’s finest venues such as Whelan’s, The Grand Social, Sweeney’s, The Workman’s Club and The Mercantile this weekend, they’ve put together a stellar line up and it’s all free. What more could you ask for? You can expect to see the likes of I Draw Slow, The Hot Sprockets, Prison Love, The Eskies, The Cujo Family,Gavin Glass, Ross Breen, Gypsy Rebel Rabble, North Strand Contra Band, Conor Linnie, NC Lawlor, The Urges and loads more. Exodus are in The Button Factory tonight. The band have a career spanning over 30 years so it should definitely be a good show if thrash metal is your thing. Tickets are still available and are €25. Meanwhile Texan band Midlake play Roisin Dubh tonight, Cyprus Avenue in Cork tomorrow, Dolan’s Warehouse in Limerick on Wednesday and The Windsor in Belfast on Thursday. After eight years of waiting Marshall Mathers fans are finally getting their day out in Slane. Eminem along with Change The Rapper, Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf, Earlwolf and Plan B will play at the infamous venue on Saturday. Tickets are still available and are €79.50.
