Today down in 4 Dame Lane, Guinness Amplify announced what looks to be a replacement for Arthurs Day (now confirmed, Arthurs Day is gone, elements of Arthurs Day will be incorporated into Amplify).
They want to champion up-and-coming musicians across Ireland, hosting 500 live gigs (at which we’re told Kodaline, Ellie Goulding, Walking On Cars, Dathí and more will be appearing at surprise shows) and hosting industry masterclasses and offering studio time to bands in Ireland’s top recording studios.
Bands have to register before midnight on July 31st 2014 to be in with a chance to perform at Guinness Amplify Live. Pub owners and managers will be using the site to book the gigs. Industry experts will choose from those registered to offer studio time, so come September, keep an eye on your inbox as you might be one of the selected few. The expert panel includes Nialler9, Stuart Clarke of Hotpress, David Kitt, Johnny Quinn of Snow Patrol and Sinead Troy.
They will be rounding up a panel of music experts to offer advice on how to make it in the industry aswell but only offering these to registered bands.
Amplify kicks starts on September 11th to 12th October.
