Gig of the Week – Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band are back in town for two sold out shows at their usual stomping ground of the RDS. The Boss is this weeks Gig of the Week. He is set to take to the stage at 7pm sharp this evening and tomorrow evening. Punters can expect to get their moneys worth as usual, after he played past his 10.30pm curfew on Saturday night in London’s Hyde Park, causing the promoters to shut down the show. According to guitarist  Steve Van Zandt, fans should expect the show to overrun. Team GP are giddily excited for this one.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros have also managed to, unsurprisingly, sell out The Olympia Theatre for their show this evening. Support comes from Rocco Deluca, the show kicks off about 8pm.

Thursday see’s disco legends Chic play Festival Big Top as part of Galway Arts Festival. Tickets are €39.05 and available from Ticketmaster.

Live @ the Iveagh Gardens sees a stellar line up beginning with Rufus Wainwright on Wednesday, tickets €44.05, The Waterboys supported by The Unthanks and Katie Kim, tickets €44.00, the lovely Lisa Hannigan, Cathy Davey and Other Lives, tickets €35.00.
