RTE Eurosong 2014#Eurosong entries were today confirmed for the live performance and vote held annually on the RTE Late Late Show on February 28th 2014.

The songs are still under wraps today but tomorrow at 2pm on the Rick O’Shea show, he has the exclusive first listen to the songs, so tune in to 2FM tomorrow afternoon to hear who might be representing Ireland in our annual love/hate affair with the Eurovision song contest. As always, the winner will be selected by combination of public and regional jury votes.

The Eurovision Semi-Finals are set to take place on May 6th and May 8th in Copenhagen, Denmark. Ireland will compete in the second Semi-Final. The Final takes place on Saturday May 10th.

The five contestants for the spot at Eurovision 2014 are as follows and will perform in this order on the night…

Patricia Roe (Don’t Hold On)
Eoghan Quigg (The Movie Song)
Can-linn (Heartbeat)
Andrew Mann (Be Mine)
Laura O’Neill. (You Don’t Remember Me)

The Songs

Patricia Roe who is mentored by her sister Valerie, will sing her self-written song Don’t Hold On.

Eoghan Quigg who will be mentored by Mark Murphy, will sing The Movie Song, which was written by Karl Broderick.

Can-linn featuring Kasey Smith, mentored by Hazel Kaneswaran, will sing Heartbeat, which Kaneswaran composed along with Jonas Gladnikoff, Rasmus Palmgren and Patrizia Helander.

Andrew Mann, mentored by Cormac Battle, will sing Battle’s Be Mine.

Laura O’Neill, mentored by Billy McGuinness, will sing You Don’t Remember Me, which was composed by Don Mescall and Lucie Silvas.
