Enemies Dublin showcaseEnemies, we all have one, or two, but it’s unusual to really like your enemy. Team GP just happen to rather dig Enemies. Of course we’re just being silly, we don’t actually have any real enemies here at GP, well that we know of, we’re talking about those rather pleasant Wicklow lads Enemies. They’ve just realeased their second album ‘Embark, Embrace’ and are pretty darn excited about it so they have decided to play The Button Factory this Saturday to celebrate. We all love a bargain and tickets are only a tenner, so it’s our Gig of the Week. And hang on, if that wasn’t enough to get you all in your weekend swing, members from Heathers The Cast of Cheers and Croupier will be lending their hands/voices as extended band members. Support on the night comes from Squarehead and Tandem Felix. If you haven’t picked up a ticket yet, there’s still some available but you’d wanna snap ’em up quickly.

Elsewhere sweet Italaian rocker Zucchero kicks off the week in style on Monday in The Olympia Theatre. He’s Ray Charles endorsed, has sold over 40 million records and has a Grammy Award. If you’re a fan of gospel and blues, make sure to check him out. Tickets start from €37.50  and are still available.

Tuesday and Wednesday see Ms Alicia Keyes play Belfast’s Odyssey Arena and The O2 in Dublin, respectively. Tickets start from €39.50 and are still available.

The Little Museum of Dublin are currently programming some fantastic intimate shows, next up is Luke Sital-Singh on Tuesday, a charming London based singer songwriter. Tickets are still available and are €12.50. If you’re a bit strapped for cash but still fancy hitting up a gig, get on down to Odessa Club for the launch of Rewind, a free gig which will feature emerging artists such as Dem Fools, Kate O Callaghan, Robin McGuinness, Megan Burke, Greg Clifford and She’s A Beauty. All the other details you need to know are here.

Following the release of their album ‘Nomad’. Electro-Indie trio Sounds Of System Breakdown play The Grand Social on Friday night. Tickets are a tenner  and still available. The ever succesful The Riptide Movement play two shows in The Olympia Theatre on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are €16.75  and still available.

Electronic music and arts festival, Life, kicks off on Friday at Belvedere House in Meath. You can catch the likes of Groove Armada DJ Set, Seth Troxler, Laurent Garnier and Modeselektor to name but a few. A weekend camping ticket will set you back €160 and they are still available.

Californian sisters HAIM play to a sold out Whelan’s on Saturday night. That should be an awesome gig.

Rounding off your week, the musical equivelent of Marmite, Ms Lana Del Ray plays a sold out Vicar Street show on Sunday.
