This weeks video of the week comes from John, Shelly and the Creatures album “Dinosaur” which was released on March 5th.

They are a 4 piece from Belfast playing Alt-Rock style of music with beautiful melodies and harmonious vocals between Philip and Walter make their music inherently beautiful and very easy listening. You may know them better from the tune “Long may you reign” (give that a listen on their Breaking Tunes, link below).  This is one of the tracks and the video of from the Sitting Room Sessions. Conor O’Brien and his musical vehicle Villagers continue to go from strength to strength. His popular album “Becoming a Jackal” is slowly sliding back down the charts after enjoying a few weeks at the top spot. He’s just played Live @ The Marquee this weekend and Glastonbury too and will be joining us at Oxegen. He’s everywhere, and with good reason.

This is the second single to be lifted from the album and the accompanying video to go along with it. The song is called Ship of Promises.

Romeo is the new single by The Looks who are a Four piece Dublin band mixing electro beats with driving indie punk and this track is actually a pretty good tune having given it a few spins. This is the video they have done for the single. It’s a pretty cool video to go with the single. Definitely take a look.

Navan born and bred, The Whatmans are a four piece indie-rock band. These are another band put in the hotly tipped column by many a listener, with the hope that they can break through and take that next step.

They have been gigging around a lot lately including Whelans and The Village and were in the final of the Shercocks battle of the band, narrowly missing out on a slot at Glastonbury.

The video this week is the debut single “Devil Shoes” off the debut EP. The single is available for download on Itunes.

The Frank and Walters are an Alt-Rock band from Cork who believe it or not are still going after 20 years together.

Talulah does the hula is a 5 piece indie-pop party band formed from The Chalets and Neosupervital.  They first came to prominance in Ireland with the single “Band boyfriend / Those Girls” and now they are back with another single called “Don’t Panic” which was directed by Amy Wolf and made as part of the Hotpress / NYU Tisch studen music video program in May 2010.

There are 200 hand-number CD’s available at Tower Records and Road Records, Dublin since early May so they may not still be around but you can always use Amazon Download Service or Itunes if you wanna get your hands on it.

This week we have chosen our video of the week from a band currently about to release their debut album “A National Light” which comes out May 28th. We will be reviewing the album here this week too.

This is one of the single’s off the album and it is one of the stand out tunes on the album too. I think if you like that melodic indie pop sound you might find on a libertines album then you will absolutely love The Rags.

Duckworth Lewis Method have given us a new national anthem to stand and roar before international events and supporting our country. Give it a listen. Its actually pretty decent.

It came out about a month or so ago, we wanted to throw it up then, but a few other video’s took time related preference for specific gigs or events. If you havnt seen it, its definitely worth a look and listen.
