After the success of our first #GoldenBeck gig last month (see photos here), we are back to bring you the second in our series of ‘GoldenPlec & Claire Beck Presents…’ gig nights in the The Workmans Club, Dublin.

This month we have planned a really special night that the whole GP crew is happy to present. For April, we have GoldenPlec stalwarts The Barley Mob, soul elegance in the form of Miss Kate & the Higher State and finally the wonderfully unique Mongoose.

We’ve long been promoting Irish music and every great thing about it. So it’s about time we got together some of the amazing Irish talent and put on some seriously fucking good music nights. We have some amazing nights lined up over the next few months so stay tuned and enjoy ‘GoldenPlec & Claire Beck Presents’.

Remember: Plec yourself before you Beck yourself. #GoldenBeck

The Mob, who are certainly no strangers to us here at GoldenPlec, are currently in the middle of touring/plugging their debut self-titled album (read our review here) which we exclusively brought to the world back in October. This will be the lads first Dublin show since Christmas so come on down and enjoy one of Ireland’s finest live entities.

An act that we can find ourselves very lucky to have for our second #GoldenBeck night is Miss Kate & the Higher State. Currently stateside playing a gig, Miss Kate is in the process of promoting her fabulous debut EP (read our review here). Miss Kate has assembled a special live band who excel in the live arena so get down and experience Irish Soul & Funk at it’s very best.

Mongoose are fast establishing themselves as one of the Irish music scenes most exciting live entities. Having burst on to the scene last summer, with a stand out performance at Knockanstockan under their belt, this young four-piece girl group from Dublin have gig goers yearning for their debut release. Currently in the process of funding, recording and all that lark that goes with releasing their debut EP/album/single on Dimestore Recordings. We’ll be keeping a watchful eyes over these ladies; so why not watch with us.
