Bands for JD Set Announced

The has been 20 unsigned bands who have been picked to compete in The JD Set 2010.

Heats will be taking place across the country in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford and will be spread across February to April. Whelans in Dublin, Pavillian in Cork, Dolans in Limerick, Roisin Dubh in Galway and Electric Avenue in Waterford.

Waterford could be a tight contest, Zealots are a great band, Funzo won the Xmas FM Christmas song writing competition and Vasco Junior are pretty good too, ive not heard of Sixteen Layers but i hope they are as good as the others as it will make for a fascinating night (and mean all the more to them if they progressed)

The Final of the event is set to take place April 29th in The Village, Dublin. With 1 Act from each heat taking a slot.

Winning brings with it not only the title of winner, which obviously is what everyone is wanting but also advice from Tim Burgess of the Charlatans, Studio Time in Grouse Lodge, Inclusion on JD Set 2010 CD on the cover of hotpress, and also some PR support.
