bandaid30Bob Geldof has assembled a motley crew of popular singers and musicians in London today for the fourth recording of Do They Know It’s Christmas?

The new version of the track features Irish singers Bono, Sinead O’Connor and Niall Horan alongside the likes of Foals, Elbow, Chris Martin and Ellie Goulding. All proceeds from the single will go towards the fight against Ebola and Geldof has changed some of the lyrics of the song to reflect this.

Bono’s famous line “Well tonight thank God it’s them instead of you “ becoming “ Well tonight we’re reaching out and touching you” and “Where the only water flowing is the bitter sting of tears” becoming “Where a kiss of love can kill you and there’s a death in every tear”.

Band Aid 30 goes on sale Monday at 8 a.m.
