Review: Readers Wives – Rachels Apartment
Dublin Rock outfit Reader’s Wives bring their newly released album to the ears of Goldenplec and the nation’s public sporting more of that edge and flair that gained them notoriety via Hot Press with their EP Secrecy & Sex in 2009 and a fantastic show at Electric Picnic to boot. Review: Created By Comets EP
Impressed with their live performance at the State vs Goldenplec gig, I decided to check out Created By Comets new EP with hopes of at least hearing something promising for the future. The EP consists of four tracks, all of which were played on the night. I was especially looking forward to the quality of [...]
Review: Rush at the O2
Rush @ The O2 Thurs 12th May Review: David Quinn Photos: Natalie Byrne As I stood on the Luas on my way to the O2, I received word that there would be no support act. Dublin Clubbing Guide: Octopussy presents SAVE THE RAVE
Octopussy presents SAVE THE RAVE @ The Academy, Thursday 4th November Okay, okay. I can completely admit my hypocrisy last week. I built up everyone’s expectations for a quality night of electro madness, only to be ultimately disappointed myself. If anything this merely shows that we at Goldenplec are in fact still human, but we [...]
Review: Digitalism at The Academy
This year’s Halloween has been particularly frustrating for me, not just caused by the general annoyance that is the holiday falling on a Sunday. But for me it was even worse; my day job requires my attendance at 8am on Sunday mornings, so Saturday is off-limits too. This left Friday as my only viable Halloween party [...]
