Gig Of The Week : Newton Faulkner
Hello All, Packed schedule in our fair city this week, from the wonderful Butterfly Explosion in Twisted Pepper to Massive Attack taking up residence in The Olympia, but our pick of the week goes to Newton Faulkner.
The Surrey born, dreadlock sporting guitarist is playing The Academy this Friday is support of his second studio album ‘Rebuilt By Humans’ which was released at the end of last month and sports an impressive 18 tracks. The Album title is a tribute to the Doctors who inserted a metal plate in his hand after he badly broke it falling on some ice at the end of last year. Tickets for the night are €25.00 and still available Now Sold Out. And in Tribute to the other highlight of the week, here is Newton Faulkner’s cover of Massive Attacks Teardrop.
