Too many posts to handle? If you missed out on a great post from last month, here’s a quick digest of the top posts that you may want to check out:
- Gig Review: Shoctopus Live @ Radio City on Saturday 11th April
Posted on Tuesday, April 14th, 2009 in ArticlesWith bands like Airbourne and the Answer reviving that type of simplistic Rock n Roll exactly what it says on the tin (rock your socks off!), they have in turn sparked new life into the creators, AC:DC, along with inspiring new acts to rekindle the flame. Everyone knows I’m a sucker for judging a book by its cover, especially when it comes to the name a band gives itself.
- Gig Of The Week: AC/DC
Posted on Wednesday, April 15th, 2009 in Gig of the WeekHeya folks, the undoubted gig event of the week is the return of AC/DC to Irish shores. Sure they have a new album, but I’m positive most people going want to hear some of the greatest rock songs of the last century. And if you weren’t lucky enough to get a ticket to see them in The O2, you have a chance again when they return to Punchestown this summer.

- Band of the Week: Downhill
Posted on Sunday, April 19th, 2009 in Band of the WeekDownhill are a young punk band from Tallaght. Beginning around the summer 06, Downhill stayed in the underground Dublin scene for qite a bit. They released an EP in 2008 entitled “As Seen on TV” which was the first time I saw them in the Voodoo Longue. The first thing that hits you seeing them live is the energy on stage that every good punk band needs.
