U2 announce final croker date

U2U2.com today confirms that the U2 360° Tour will play a third and final Irish concert at Dublin’s Croke Park on 27th July 2009. All 160,000 tickets for U2 360° Tour performances on 24th July and 25th July 2009 sold out in just 40 minutes last Friday.

In keeping with their long-standing tradition, U2 will welcome a number of different support acts to the tour. In Dublin, the 24th July performance will be supported by Glasvegas, and joining on 25th July will be Kaiser Chiefs. Support for the 3rd and final performance on 27th July to be confirmed. Its been rumoured for a while this slot will go to snow patrol but hopefully we’ll hear soon who its set to be.

Tickets priced 33.60, 59.80, 91.50, 131.50 (including booking fee) go on sale next Wednesday 1st April at 8AM and are limited to six per person/transaction. Concerts are subject to licence. Tickets are available in person from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide
