Northern Irish upstarts set the standard for rock in 2008.
In Case Of Fire – write down that name, you’re going to want to remember it – prove themselves one of the best new bands in Britain.
Watching In Case Of Fire, you get a similar feeling to watching Muse back in 1999, where despite the lowly venues it’s obvious that there’s a special talent at play, ready to catapult them to the top of their game.

It’s hard to recall a more savage, unerringly brutal debut than this offering from In Case Of Fire. This is stadium-sized rock; combining the theatrical pomp of Muse with the raw power of vintage Therapy, the trio sound like they were born to rawk their way onto playlists all across America. Call it melodic metal, call it a Queens of The Stone Age rip-off… either way, these noisy young Irishmen are going to detonate over 2008 like an H-bomb
Charlotte Dryden – Alternative Ulster, Iss No 32.
“In Case Of Fire are immense – perhaps a little serious – but immense, this is a band staring in the face of commercial music so intensely, that commercial music is buckling, blinking and running away screaming for its mummy. This is racket with a soul; underneath huge waterfalls of guitar are songs like ‘Second Revelation’. Fast furious stuff that people are gonna fall in love with.”
