Of late The Academy has been annoucing gigs left right and centre. Rarely does a week go by without an announcement of some of the best up and coming or established bands announcing to play Dublins newest venue.

Its just been announced that opening night of the No Disko club on Fridays in the Academy, which opens September 5th will be kicked off with Guest DJ’s Niamh and Podge of Ham Sandwich and Jessie Love Action of NeoSupervital.

The Resident DJ’s Rory Fitzgerald and Anto Molly will also be on hand to spin out some of your favourite indie and rock tunes.

Now the academy is crossing fridays off the bookable list for the forseeable future with the announcement of NO DISKO kicking off on September 5th. Doors open at 10pm and admission is FREE before 11.30 and only €5 if you find yourself wandering in later.

We are being promised some of the be indie, rock and electro pop acts will be part of the sound that defines NO DISKO including the likes of crystal castles, Black Kids, MGMT, Supergrass, The Killers, CSS and much much more for your friday night pleasure. There will also be celebrity guest DJ’s who will be spinning the tracks alongside some of dublins finest dj-ing talent.

All in all this could be a cracking night for all involved any given friday.
