Music Promoters POD have issued a statement today assuring music fans that Electric Picnic will definitely go ahead this year despite proceedings being issued by IMRO regarding payment of fees for “public performance” of music in addition to artist performance fees.

POD have agreed to pay the fees in full for the acts playing the festival in Laois this September but are still contesting the extra fees on future events. The high court has ordered both parties to mediate the dispute before it will hear the case.
